What is a C.A.S.A.?
A Court Appointed Special Advocate is an adult, at least 21 years old, willing to stand up for an abused and/or neglected child. A CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to provide factual information on behalf of a child caught up in a difficult legal process through no fault of their own. In a court system challenged by increasing caseloads, a CASA volunteer can make the single greatest difference in the life of a child. To learn more about being a CASA volunteer, click on the 'Become a C.A.S.A.' volunteer link above left. |
